Probelm Explanation
Your code allows me to insert IMAGE 3, but I still dont know where to insert NUMBER 1 and 2, in order to stayl always conected to the blog body no matter which resolution is is seen it, and in order to the footer background still over it.
Is there a way to make blog posts on the main page the same standard length so that longer posts will just have a “more after the jump” link. I’m having problems because some of my posts are longer and it makes the other posts go down at the very bottom of the page
Hi guys
back again
@Goldragon979 – I send you mail through your contact form of your blog please send me the answer of ” how i make my twitter/RSS logo spin like this your blog “
hi,
thanks alot to themecraft theme for your wonderful effort!
is there any way i can increase the width of the template, say +70px for example?
Hi Goldragon979,
Thanks for your detailed follow-up.
Wow, that would need a lot of customization. From what I understand about Mystique’s structure, you can only place 1 background image to its bottom.
If you want to put 3 images on the indicated position, you can try to make those image become absolute and placed on your desired position by modifying their CSS. Otherwise, you can remove bottom part’s code and restart the entire CSS and XHTML coding for bottom part, but it would need a lot of effort to achieve it.
Hi Koyut,
It’s possible to make blog posts on the main page the same length, but it’s not recommended as it uses JavaScript hosting.
If you’re interested about it, you can download and refer to the code of the template below, then copy and paste the code of the post summarize part (you need to find it) to your template to achieve post summary:
http://www.bloggertricks.com/2009/05/releasing-mind-blowing-magazine-style.html
Hope this helps.
Thank you Slasher, I appreciate your thanks very much.
It’s surely possible to increase the width of the template, but you need to modify a lot of CSS code in the template. You can access into blog’s ‘Layout’ and under the ‘Edit HTML’ tab, modify the related CSS code to get the size you want for the template.
I’ve completely finished my costumization, thanks a lot for all support from themecraft team.
If you agree, I may show the site when I launch the new layout.
Regards, Ricardo Vieira
@cloud okay will try to find it. The coding for that theme was really hard to read.
How do I change the colour of the page background (the one that fades from grey to white). I want to change it to be just white.
Sure Goldragon979, I’m glad to know that you have completed your site customization, congrats! Thanks for your kind message, we appreciate it very much, any idea/suggestion is much welcomed.
Did you mean you would feature our site on your new launch? That would be great, and it’s better to put our link in either your footer or sidebar, as it’s a must according to the license.
All the best to you and your blogging life!
Sure Koyut, hope you found it now.
I have the same thought for the coding, that is author’s preference, after all.
Hi Job,
You would probably need to use image editing software like Photoshop or Paint.NET to edit the page background image (which is bg.png in image folder), save and upload it to the image hosting site like Photobucket.
After you uploaded the image to the Photobucket, access into blog’s ‘Layout’ and under the ‘Edit HTML’ mode, search for the keyword ‘bg.png’ and replace its image address with your hosted bg.png’s image address, then save template to complete the customization.
Hope this helps, all the best.

img200.imageshack.us/img200/1232/examp1.png
Please solve this problem.
Thanks.
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for your report, from the demo I can see the date is working fine, can I have your blog address that applies Mystique template to check on the issue further? Thank you.
Thanks for getting back with me CLoud.
I changed the template because I couldn’t figure out why my date and time wasn’t showing in the post header.
I just uploaded the theme to another blog and it seems to be working fine.
Must have been a glitch with the first blog
Sure Glaxo, thanks for your report! I’m doing the major update for this template, would publish it very soon.
Sure Lisa, nice to hear that it’s working properly on another blog, you must need to ‘Revert widget templates to default’ before uploading the Mystique template to your first blog, which you can find the option in the ‘Edit HTML’ section.
Hi cloud
you said that you doing to update this so please add a twitter icon before RSS logo.
Can you give me some code such as I add “Advertised Here” banner in side bar or header just like your template.
thank you.
sorry if it seems like i spammed i didnt, i put the wrong comment in the wrong template!
but this one just like the mystic template, the widgets that are on the right side of the page are for some reason all the down at the end of the page. is there a way to fix this, and on top of that theirs like a little border around it to that wasn’t there before.
Sure Glaxo, I’m adding it to the new update.
You can get “Advertised Here” banner code by register the account of the site below:
http://www.buysellads.com
Once your site get approved, you can add a banner and get its code to place into the site.
i figured out why the side bar gadget was all the way down on the page, it was because of Firefox, one of the add ones i use was interfering with the coding. now everything is fixed!
Hi Cloud, very nice theme.
I’m havin two problems
One, the date are not showing on the posts while time shows.
Two, date and time are not working properly on comments page; both are always wrong.
Thank you.
Hi.
I’d like to put an Adsense banner under the navigation bar, but I cant do it trough Blogger’s ‘Page elements’. I added the gadget but i cant place it there. I think I have to create some space there to add the banner, can you please tell me how to do this?
Thanks a lot for your response.
Sure Michael, I’m glad that everything is resolved now, congrats and all the best!
Hi Alex,
Thanks for your kind words, I’m happy to know that you feel it nice.
Others are reporting the same issue as yours, and I have performed an update for this template.
I’m sorry for those who are still waiting as it was quite tricky to update this template, but it’s going to be released on tomorrow, and I’m pretty sure that the latest version is worth of the waiting, thanks for all your patience!
Hi Joseph,
I’m sorry that the Mystique’s navigation menu is created for professional blogger who knows how to edit the HTML in Blogger, so you can only customize the area around navigation menu by click on the ‘Layout’, then click on the ‘Edit HTML’ tab to customize the code inside.
In the ‘Edit HTML’ part, You can probably copy the Adsense code and paste it after the < *!-- /Menu --> section, then click ‘Save Template’ to complete the customization, hope this helps.
Thanks much! This template rocks!
So Cloud, did you update the template already? You said it was gonna be updated these days. Thanks. Also, could you tell us or post the updates it is gonna include?
Hi Rob and all Mystique template’s user,
Yes the update is released now, you can download the template again and re-upload it to your blog to fix all issues mentioned in this comment section.
As you might have customized your template before, it’s strongly recommended to backup your template before the upload, please read the ‘Read Me’ file provided in the downloaded template file to follow the backup tutorial.
The update note was included into the template folder, here’s the note for latest version, 2.00:
-Changed Image Hosting from Photobucket server to Blogger server.
-Removed Search Box
-Added Twitter Icon
-Added DateHeader
-Fixed Header Font’s Difference
-Fixed Email Post Icon’s Existence
-Fixed Edit Icon’s Existence
-Fixed Reaction’s Position
-Optimized IE7 and IE8′s Avatar Position
-Optimized Template Structure
I didn’t change much structure to the template so it would be easy to implement your customization before into the updated template.
Thanks for all your report and support to Mystique template, all the best!
Hi,
A newbie here,
Can we have color of the post’s backgroung transparent, matching with the background color. or some option to change the colors.
I’m back!
I’m having a small proble. RSS and Twitter icons aren’t showing on Firefox but they do on IE.
It’s my fault?
Ok, I just know the solution.
Adblock Plus is blocking them. I hope this will be useful for you
Thanks for this new version,it’s really mystique
This is my converted version (RTL, to Arabic) & it supports FF :
italib.net/2010/03/mystique-ar.html .
Keep it up TC!
Hi, I love this template! But I just have one small issue. How exactly can we change or (the bigger problem)… change the RSS link in the small message below posts:
“This entry was posted on 8:18 PM, and is filed under Unlabeled . Follow any responses to this post through RSS. You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.”
When I went to the readme in the download file it said to search for some code with YOUR-RSS-LINK (or something along those lines) in the code but it wasn’t there.
Thanks for any help you can give!
Hi George;
You edit/change the RSS link easily by clicking on ‘Expand Widget Templates’ in the ‘Edit HTML’ tab then find (CTRL+f) your text :
http://pastie.org/895181
Thanks
Hi,
I really loved this theme! I’ve dowloaded the updated version and I’m doing some tests… Two questions:
Why does the tiltle in the header now is in uppercase? Can I change it?
Why have you removed the search box? I’d like to keep it…
Hi Gisellle,
To change/edit the font-varient of the head title just find in your template this code :
http://pastie.org/898633
Then change the ‘font-variant’ value to ‘normal’ instead of ‘small-caps’.
for other questions ,TC will tell you the reason
the reason why they changed it ,of course it’s for updating the designing side
Hi vishalmukherjee,
Nice to meet you, you can only change the background color or make it transparent by click on ‘Layout’, then click on ‘Edit HTML’ and edit the CSS part that’s corresponding with the template’s background, then click ‘Save Template’ to save changes.
If you want to change the font color, you can click on ‘Layout’, then click on ‘Fonts and Colors’ to change font color to your liking, then click ‘Save Changes’ to save changes.
Hope this helps.
Thanks Alex, I’m glad that you solved the issue, would keep your report as an advice to others who meets the same issue.
Hi Attalib, sincerely thanks for your conversion, this must be a great news and template for Arabic blogger!
